I had been creating portraits in my favorite mediums – oils and watercolors – for many years when a friend, Ann Leigh suggested that I consider painting different dog breeds on glass ornaments that were also painted on the inside in many different colors.

While continuing with my oil and watercolor painting, I followed Ann’s advice and began painting dogs on glass ornaments and selling them at dog shows. I felt that this would to be a great way to grow my art business as it would give customers a way to experience my art work at a very reasonable price. In addition, I would be able to build my awareness and reputation with dog owners, breeders, and professional handlers and judges.

Now 23 years later my business has grown from just those glass ornaments to a wide array of items, including oil paintings, watercolors, gold and silver jewelry, jewelry boxes, leather goods, clothing, club trophies/awards, and more. At the same time, the list of satisfied clients that have enjoyed my artwork over the years has grown from just a few to several thousand, and they come from all over the United States and many foreign countries.
